Homework Reminders!

1st Year - Finish off the tonal grid and the three drawing on the hand-out I gave out - concentrating on SHADING & capturing the light & dark in each drawing - please ensure you use the correct drawing pencil (2b to 6b) and take your time - practise as many times as you have to - learning how to shade will take time & lots of practise.  Well done on the fantastic TEACO ART entries, all have been posted - fingers crossed!!!!



2nd Year - Continuing with the research sheet on your favourtire artist - Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol or Dali - the deadline for this is Thursday 12th March and you will all do a 2min presentation on your findings - everyone should have 5 pieces of artwork as well as a heading of the artists name on the sheet - Layout on the sheet must be creative, neat & tidy and writing must be easy to read so if you can please type up the info on the artist

What you need to get for the TEXT:
- About - gather info about your chosen artist, info, interesting facts.
- Why you chose that artist
- Info on each painting you chose - heading, what the painting is about,
- The artists style & technique

• All TEXT should be neatly arranged on the page also.

3rd Year - Well done on your Mock exams, back to normal next week! The 3D final piece has to be finished & as you will be starting your BOOKCRAFT PREP. sheet please bring your research, ideas, sketchs & all artwork to class with you, Some have already made a start on this so just continue on. Deadline for project is getting closer so everyone needs to put in an extra effort & more time on their art project, remember this project is worth 75% of your overall Junior Cert art exam and the TWO drawing exams are 50marks each so making up the other 25%.  The project is MAKE OR BREAK!!!!!!! Lots of great work being done we just need to keep it up.  Anyone who is very far behind on the project ie: who has still not handed up the 3D prep sheet I will be speaking with you on Monday & if work is not handed up next week I will be speaking to the year heads & people will have to stay in at lunch times to catch up.




5th Year - Continuing with the JIGSAW Art competition entries - have until Wed,. 11th March to give to me as I need to drop it into them on Thurs 12th. Well done on the beautiful Texaco art competition entries, they have been sent in the post, fingers crossed!!!!




Leaving Cert  - Well done on completing your MOCK art exams, some fantastic work done! The hard work dosnt stop here....next week we will be focusing on STILL LIFE drawing so everyone please bring several objects to draw (4-5) to create an interesting still life arrangement.  You will have 1 week to finish this.
