Welcome back! It was lovely to see you all today & I hope that you are ready for some hard work again this year!! First thing is first, it is important that you start of the year on a good note and come to each of my classes prepared and organized. I have put together a list of some of the things you will need. A lot of these things you will have already had from last year so please just remember to bring all with you to class:
What you need for art class:
- A2 sketchpad
- A2 art folder
- Drawing pencils 2b, 4b, 6b, 8b
- Watercolour set
- Black ink pens for drawing
- Oil pastels
- Your hardback notes copy for ART HISTORY
- Art History book
- Art History notes folder ( same as last year_
HOMEWORK:
- What I want you to do for me for Thursday (double art class) is to bring in some of the artwork you created or made over the summer break.
- I also want you to choose one of the themes of your choice from this years leaving cert art exam which we talked about today in class and design a creative MIND MAP (add colour, doodles, attach images photos etc.. and be as creative as you can) for your take on your chosen them. This creative mind map should include a range of text and images & ideas. I will be asking you all to read out & show the rest of the class this mind map on Thursday. It can be done on A3 size paper or if you prefer A2. Choose a theme did you did not use before last year....

(b) Poetry Slam Challenge
(c) Digital Technology Awards.
- Bring your art history note book, folder, hardback notes copy with you to class on Friday please. Make sure that this is up to date & that you have caught up on any of the notes you may have missed from last year - this is very important.
