MOCK Examinations 2015

JUNIOR CERT. ART MOCK EXAMINATIONS:

• Wed. 25th Feb - PORTAIT DRAWING & STILL LIFE EXAM

        Time: 10.15 - 12.15 ( I will have to get this time changed to 12.30)
        Exam 1 - Portraiture - 1.5hours  - two models - 10.00 - 11.30 - 50marks
        Exam 2 - Still life Drawing - 50marks - Bring the object you choose from the list with you on 
                        day of exam. 11.3-  12.30

   Room 7 - Art Room
        What you need to bring: Drawing materials, rubber, ruler, pencil sets, charcoal sets, 
         colouring pencils & bring your object with your for the still life drawing exam.

Exam 1 - Portraiture (head & shoulders only) - A2 white paper will be provided but you will need to bring all of your drawing equipment, colouring pencils and everything else that you will need. This exam is an hour and a half long. You will get a 15min break after this from 11.

Models for this exam will be - Rachael Mc Gloin & Rachel Dolan





LEAVING CERT. ART MOCK EXAMINATION:

xam 1 - Friday 6th Feb. - Art Room - Class 7 & 8 ( class as usual)
Models - Rachel Dolan & Rachel Mc Gloin 5th year students
You will be given the poses a week before this exam to prepare so that will be Friday 30th Jan.
First pose will be the 15min full body pose - 15mins & 20marks
Second pose will be the 30min head & shoulders only pose - 30mins & 30marks


On Monday 9th of Feb - you will be given out the papers for the CRAFTWORK exam to ensure you have time to complete your RESEARCH sheet ahead of this exam which takes place on Thursday 26th of Feb at 9.30 - 3.45 (all day in art room, breaks as normal)







Exam 2 - Tuesday 24th Feb - Time: 9.30 - 12.00 - Please ensure you have all of the 4-5 objects that you need with you, take note of what Q. and paragraph number you have chosen as this will be written at the back of the sheet along with your paragraph explaining your ideas, why you choose those particular objects, mediums you will use & why.......
Please bring all art materials and equipment with you to exam and please have all set up from 9.00am - DO NOT arrive to the exam roomat 9.30!!! Please be there early to set up.
- Any coloured card or paper that you want to use will need to be shown to the supervisor & signed before the exam commences.


Exam 3 - Thursday 26th Feb - Art room - Time: 9.30 - 3.45 - CRAFTWORK EXAM (Poster!)
 - You will need to bring in your finished RESEARCH sheet to this exam - supervisor signs and stamps this.
- Supervisor will give you a sheet of white paper to do your Development sheet on - this is worth 10marks so I recommend you only dedicate 1.5hours to this!
- The final poster is worth 90marks so the majority of your time should be spent on this - please bring in any prepared backgrounds with you on the day for the supervisor to date, stamp & sign. - Anyone bringing in any background sheets these can not be too developed or they will be taken off you!

Exam 4 - Art history - Wed. 25th Feb - 9.45 - 12.15 - IRISH ART, E.U Art & Art appreciation
Bring a few A4 size sheets of drawing paper with you to draw the sketchs onto.


REMINDERS: Can everyone please bring all art materials and equipment with them to all of the exams!!!!! Arrive half an hour early to your exam - pop into your tutor class at 9.15 to let them know you going to the art exam so you are not marked as absent.
