Thursday 30th Aug.'18.
Following on from today's class where we discussed the new LC art course & what is expected for the coming year, please keep your handouts from today's class in your folder please as we will be making reference to them throughout this term.
As your project for your LC practical component (workbook & two final pieces) is not given out until January, until then we are going to focus on art history as well as different elements of the workbook such as exploring themes & the initial research sheets, techniques that can be used in the workbook or final pieces etc. We will also be concentrating on developing drawing skills and focusing on composition, tone, scale, shape & detail and working from primary source objects.
HOMEWORK - FOR MONDAY:
Please have this ready to start class 2. I also want a mind map sheet made up of text & images (rough!) on A3 size paper done for Monday so I will be asking to see these sheets at the start of this class so please do not forget!
Also, could everyone please bring in an object related to one of the following themes:
1) The Natural World
2) Home
3) My Summer
