Summer Exams - 1st, 2nd & 5th year.

SUMMER EXAMS - DETAILS BELOW:

Below are details on the Summer examinations - I have given out all info. in class but please carefully re-read the info below that refers to your exam.


All students need to research & prepare work for drawing examinations in advance of the exams. No pictures or research will be allowed to be taken into the exam.


N.B - Second year students need to remember to bring in  an object from the list given on the day of the exam.

First Year Art -  Wed. 28th May class 2 & 3 (class 1 is a study class) You will be given out a sheet of A2 paper on the day.
Bookcraft - 50marks
Typography exam  - 50marks

Q. Design and create a ‘Typography’ style picture for one of the following choices: 

• Sports
• Space
• Summer
• Portrait

Second Year Art -  Wed 28th May class 2 & 3 (class 1 is a study class).  A2 white paper will be given out at the start of exam.
Bookcraft - 50marks
Still life drawing exam - 50marks

Complete a still life drawing of one of the following options:

(this can be completed in pencil, colour or a combination of both)

 

• Flowers – (fresh or fake)
• Bowl of fruit
• A pineapple
• A Perfume bottle
• Peppers

Fifth Year Art - This will be an Art history exam

Wed. 28th May - class 7, 8 & 9

Poster: 50marks

Art history: 50marks

The Art history exam will be IRISH ART  - it is a past exam paper question. This will be written in essay format - so 2-3 pages max with sketches at the back, preferably on white drawing paper, labeled.
